Dr. Autumn Toler
Dr. Toler was born and spend half of her childhood in rural northwest Georgia where her love of animals initially developed. She moved with her mother to upstate New York at the age of 10 and subsequently stayed throughout undergraduate and professional school. Dr. Toler graduated Magna Cum Laude from Binghamton University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology. She went on to attend Cornell University (Go Big Red!) and graduated in 2021 before moving to Dallas, Texas. She is a member of AVMA.
Dr. Toler first realized she wanted to become a veterinarian when she was 8 years old and found a puppy underneath her porch in the heat of the summer that required significant nursing to return the tiny pup back to health. As she grew older, she realized she had a gift with animals and the mental curiosity that would be best suited to a career in the medical field.
Dr. Toler has a special interest in client education and believes that no one should leave their veterinary appointment without a clear understanding of their pet’s medical conditions or why certain tests were performed / are still needed. Her goal is to answer any questions that her clients have to the best of her knowledge with kindness and transparency.
Dr. Toler met her husband Colin after moving to Dallas in November 2021. They were recently married on May 3rd 2024 and currently live in Fort Worth with their 6 animals; four cats and two dogs. A passion of both Dr. Toler and her husband is fostering animals through rescues and rescuing strays they have picked up off the side of the road. During one year, 14 fosters (6 puppies, 2 senior dogs, and 6 kittens) made their way through the Tolimer household. When she isn’t fostering or taking care of her own fur babies, Dr. Toler and her husband love to travel - their ultimate goal is to visit all 7 continents. They have been to three so far (North America, Europe, and Asia) with the hope to travel to see the penguins in Antarctica next.
